inwardBOUND’s Secondary School Drama CCA programmes offer a rigorous, process-driven drama curriculum that supports both artistic excellence and holistic student development. Designed for adolescent learners, our programmes emphasise advanced performance skills, critical thinking, collaboration, and creative agency, while remaining aligned with MOE educational priorities and CCE/SEL frameworks.

Our curriculum moves beyond foundational drama techniques to engage students in complex theatrical processes, including character development, text and devised work, ensemble practice, and reflective inquiry. Students are challenged to analyse, interpret, and create, developing both artistic discipline and intellectual rigour through drama.

A key strength of inwardBOUND’s Secondary School CCAs is our access to a diverse pool of specialist teaching artists, allowing programmes to be tailored to each school’s artistic direction and learning objectives.

Depending on the programme focus, students may be guided by practitioners specialising in:

• Acting and performance techniques

• Playwriting and dramaturgy

• Devising and collaborative theatre-making

• Dance and movement-based theatre

• Puppetry and object theatre

• Voice, singing, and vocal performance

• Stagecraft and technical theatre
   

This interdisciplinary approach enables students to experience theatre as a holistic art form, exposing them to multiple creative roles and pathways within the performing arts ecosystem.

Our Secondary School Drama CCAs prioritise:

Programmes are facilitated by experienced drama educators and industry practitioners who understand the demands of secondary school contexts, performance standards, and student development. We work closely with schools to co-design CCAs that may be process-focused, performance-oriented, or examination-adjacent, depending on the school’s needs.

Where appropriate, CCAs may culminate in a public performance or showcase, allowing students to apply their learning in an authentic theatrical context while developing confidence, resilience, and professionalism.
