FRIENDS!
What starts as a joke in a class group chat quickly spirals into something more harmful. A rumour spreads, someone gets hurt, and the group must decide—stay silent, join in, or speak up?
Friends! dives into the digital world of young students, where messages move fast and the impact lasts longer. Developed with the Singapore Kindness Movement, this Forum Theatre assembly show brings to life the emotional ripple effects of online rumours and peer dynamics. Students are invited to step into the story, rewrite the ending, and explore how small choices can shape big outcomes.
TIDAL WAVES
Meet Denise, a teenage girl quietly battling depression beneath the surface of everyday life. She struggles to be heard in a family that sees her pain as laziness and weakness. But Denise knows what she’s facing is real—a medical condition, not a character flaw.
SYNOPSIS
Tidal Waves is a powerful and emotionally resonant interactive short film and assembly show that sheds light on the lived experience of youth mental health. Created by inwardBOUND, it explores the impact of stigma, the silence of those closest to us, and the courage it takes to seek help. Through guided discussion and reflection, students are encouraged to step into the story and consider how they can be part of a support system—for themselves and others.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
TEACHER
It was an eye-opening experience and all of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I hope more schools would take up the opportunity to try this out and kick start the conversation on this pressing social issue.
STUDENT
Information like this help us make better decisions, shows us how to respond. Although we cannot control everything, we can control our responses and how we react.
STUDENT
I think this programme is very helpful and essentially especially for teenagers our age as it helps us to better understand our feelings and emotions and it teaches us how to cope with them as well.
