re:ACT Festival 2025

What We Leave Unsaid

In its 9th edition, re:ACT 2025 turned its focus to the often-overlooked gap between generations — not just in age, but in understanding. Held across four Active Aging Centres, this year’s festival explored intergenerational communication — and the silences that can grow when stories go unspoken.

Seniors participated in devised theatre workshops to unearth stories of memory, loss, love, and change. These narratives became the creative seed for student-led short films and Forum Theatre performances that asked: What do we say to each other — and what do we leave unsaid?

re:ACT 2025 offered not just a stage, but a space for dialogue, reflection, and connection. Because when generations listen to one another, the distance between them disappears.

I love talking with the seniors as I don't have grandparents of my own to talk to. I learnt how these seniors feel through their improvisations, since I think, seniors mask their emotions or always express their thoughts in a way we can't really understand.
